BATTERY PARK — Mable Keyton Carter, 91, passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 following a lengthy illness.  Born in Harrisonburg on March 8 , 1925, Mable was the daughter of the late Lillian Huffman and Forrest H. Keyton.  She was also preceded in death by her late husband, Joseph H. Carter.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Susan C. Grimsley and Kathy C. Carver; a son, Larry J. Carter; five grandchildren, Brian Clements, Kristi Bryan, Jill Black, Jennifer Carver and Eric Carver; and four great-grandchildren.

A service is planned and will be announced for a later date.
