Tiney Mae Britt Holt of Smithfield passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 12, 2016 at her home. Born March 26, 1931 in Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Percy Lee Britt and Betty Jane Saunders Britt. Tiney loved to travel, listening to music and dancing. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Cephus Holt; daughter, Dianah Mae Holt; son, Anthony Craig Holt; sister, Helen Fowler and brothers, Dellani Britt and Boney J. Britt.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Dollie M. Stanfield; brothers, John A. Britt, P. Mack Britt and Thomas J. Britt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 15, 6-8 p.m. at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16 at the funeral home.
