NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

On Thursday, the 19th day of January, 2017, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Isle of Wight, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on the proposed issuance of a general obligation line of credit note of Isle of Wight County (the “Note”). The Note is to be issued in the estimated maximum principal amount of $6,500,000 to finance the repayment of certain overpayments of taxes received in prior years.

The public hearing will be conducted in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex on Route 258, 17130 Monument Circle, Isle of Wight, Virginia, during the Public Hearing section of the meeting which will begin at 6:00 p.m. Interested persons may appear at such time and place and present their views.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, January 19, 2017 to consider the following applications:

The application of Bryan and Amanda Boyes, owners, for an exception to the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area Ordinance. Specifically, Article 4, Section 4001, for redevelopment to allow encroachment of 578 square feet into the 100-foot-wide Resource Protection Area buffer to build a two-bedroom, one bathroom, and covered wooden deck addition at 15437 Laurelwood Drive, Carrollton, in the Newport Election District.

The application of Preston and Valerie Artis, owners, for conditional zoning of 0.25 acres of land, part of a 12.6 acre parcel, located at 18442 Muddy Cross Drive in the Windsor Election District. The purpose of the application is to change the zoning classification from Rural Agricultural Conservation to Conditional Limited Commercial (C-LC) and amend the permitted uses on the property.

Copies of said applications are on file in the Department of Planning and Zoning at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex, Isle of Wight, Virginia, and are available for public examination.

Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his or her views with respect to said applications may appear before and be heard by said Board of Supervisors during the Public Hearing to be held in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex on Thursday, January 19, 2017. The public meeting is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.

  Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 to consider for recommendation to the Board of Supervisors the following applications: The application of Gary Burke, owner and applicant, for a Conditional Use Permit on 5 acres of land, located at 19271 Muddy Cross Drive in the Newport Election District. The purpose of the application is to allow for a contractor office/storage facility to be located on a parcel currently zoned Rural Agricultural Conservation (RAC).   An ordinance to amend and reenact the following sections of the Isle of Wight County Code, Appendix B, Zoning: Article V, Supplementary use regulations; Section 5-5002, Supplementary use regulations for residential use types; in order to revise the requirements for home occupations.   Copies of said applications are on file in the Department of Planning and Zoning at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex, Isle of Wight, Virginia, and are available for public examination.
