Emily Jean Munford Atkins, 89, of Windsor, passed away Feb. 8, 2017. She was born in Hopewell to the late Matthew and Susie Munford. She is also predeceased by her husband, Lonnie Robert Atkins Jr.  Jean was a member of Central Hill Baptist Church.

Jean is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Mary Atkins and Robert and Nora Atkins; grandchildren, Joshua Atkins, Lauren Powell and Lizzy Powell; and sisters, Betty Lou Hicks and Lelia Winn.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, Feb. 12, 2 p.m. at Central Hill Baptist Church, 10270 Central Hill Road in Windsor with Pastor Brad Jones and Pastor Robert Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 10, 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive in Suffolk. Memorial donations may be made to the Central Hill Baptist Church. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com
