Robert N. Jordon, 79, received his angel wings surrounded by his loving family at home April 16, 2017.  He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Ollie Norman and Easter Mae Goodwin Jordan; his in-laws, James and Mary Bundy; four sisters, Beulah Goodwin, Lillian Rhodes, Ruth Longacre and Margaret “Lois” Jordan; and three brothers Cary, Wilber and Hubert Jordan.

Robert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol Bundy Jordan; his sons, Shaun Jordan (Heather), Kelly Jordan (Meagan), both of Carrollton and Carl Jordan; and daughter, Sandra Burns (Steve) of England; 11 grandchildren, Dylan, Savannah, Isabella, Blakely, Baylee, Lindsey, Louise, Jordan, Nicky, Matthew and Chloe; and two great-grandchildren, Thea and Carter.

Robert is alsoAlso survived by sisters, Hazel Davis, Louis Dail, Doris McGue and Sue Rogiano; one brother, James “Teny” Jordan; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

After serving in The U. S. Army for seven years, Robert moved to Smithfield where he owned and operated Red Point Esso for 13 years, and he retired from the town of Smithfield after 29 years of service. He served several terms as president and commissioner of the Smithfield Recreation Association, attended Calvary Baptist Church and was active in the food distribution outreach at Carrollton Holiness Church.
Services will be held in the chapel of Little’s Funeral Home on Thursday April 20, at 2 p.m. with the Pastor Greg Gray officiating. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery.  The family will receive friend from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday April 19 at the funeral home.  Condolences may be posted online at www.littlesfuneralhome.com.
