CHESAPEAKE — Mary Jane Parsons died peacefully Saturday May 6, 2017 surrounded by her family.  Born June 11, 1951 in Philadelphia, Penn., Mary was predeceased by her husband, Larry, and her ever-loving parents, Edward T. and Mary J. Bailey.

Mary was retired from Riverside Assisted Living where she was a nurse’s aide.   A member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Portsmouth, Mary and God had a tight bond.  She was the family historian, remembering the stories of our youth, sometimes with embellishment, but always with love and humor.  A good conversationalist and a great debater, she will be greatly missed by all.

Mary is survived by three daughters, Indreia Lucente (Paul), Heather Quinn (Michael) and Sarah Parsons (Jacob); a son, Scott Parsons (Danielle); two sisters, Jeanne Jenkins (William), and Nancy Bailey (Sandra); sister-in-law, Kathy Parsons; five grandchildren, Gabriella, Russell, Mikey, Jessica and Gabriel; three great-grandchildren, Clint,  Stella and Lola; two nieces; five nephews; her Aunt Jen, Aunt Nina, Uncle Joseph; and many cousins.
