Trenda LaJean Hakes passed away on May 7, 2017. Trenda was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend for many people. She lived in Surry for many years, and had several friends in and around the Surry area, and friends and family across the U.S. 

She is survived by her husband, Leon Hakes; children, James Morrison, Norma Horner and George Morrison; sister, MenDee Houston; sister-in-law, Linda Jackson; and many other family members. 
Trenda will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Rest in peace and happiness, my sister. God has another angel in heaven.
