Helen Faye Wells Thompson, 67, of Smithfield passed away on Wednesday Aug. 16, 2017 at her residence.  She was the daughter of the late Charles Lee Wells and Mary Brown Wells.  Helen is survived by her husband of 43 years, Edward Joseph Thompson Sr.; her daughters, Lisa Marie Thompson (Steven), Cynthia Faye Thompson (James) and son Edward J. Thompson Jr .(Aimee). She is also survived by two brothers, Bill Wells and Elton Lee Wells.  The family will receive friends on Sunday Aug. 20, 3-4 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield.  A graveside service will be held on Monday Aug. 21, 11 a.m. in Central Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
