Unknown Parties, being the unknown Heirs, Devisees, and Successors in interest of: Henry Lawrence John C. Lawrence Chester C. Lawrence Bertha Lunon Lawrence Charles Lawrence Fatima Muhammad, f/k/a Deborah Lawrence Lester Lawrence Stacey Lawrence Stanley Lawrence Antonio Lawrence

The object of this suit is to effect partition amongst the owners by sale or otherwise of real property which Malachi Lawrence died seized and possessed, and intestate on December 20, 1969. The property is located in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, and is known as Tax Map 48-01-042, located at 22196 Orbit Rd., Windsor, VA 23487.
An affidavit having been made that the whereabouts and post office address of Charles Lawrence, Fatima Muhammad (f/k/a Deborah Lawrence), Stacey Lawrence and Stanley Lawrence are unknown; that Jeffrey Lawrence and Bernard Lunon are nonresidents of the State of Virginia, and that their last known post office addresses are as indicated above; and that the last known post office addresses of Henry Lawrence, John C. Lawrence, Chester C. Lawrence, Charles Lawrence, Fatima Muhammad, f/k/a Deborah Lawrence, Bertha Lunon Lawrence, Lester Lawrence, Stacey Lawrence, Stanley Lawrence, and Antonio Lawrence, if living, are unknown, and the Complaint stating that there are or may be person interested in the property to be divided whose names and last post office addresses are unknown, such unknown parties being the widower and heirs, devisees and successors in title of Henry Lawrence, John C. Lawrence, Chester C. Lawrence, Charles Lawrence, Fatima Muhammad, f/k/a Deborah Lawrence, Bertha Lunon Lawrence, Lester Lawrence, Stacey Lawrence, Stanley Lawrence, and Antonio Lawrence.
It is therefore ORDERED that such persons do appear on or before November 20, 2017 in the Clerk’s Office of this Court and do what is necessary to protect their interests in this suit.
It is further ORDERED that this Order be published once a week for four successive weeks in The Smithfield Times a newspaper of paid general circulation in the Isle of Wight County, Virginia; that a copy of this Order be posted at the front door of the courthouse of this County.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 15.2-2204 and 15.2-2309 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, that the Isle of Wight County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, November 6, 2017, to consider the following application: The application of Gregory W. Scattergood for a variance to Section 4-2006.B., “Bulk Regulations”, of the Isle of Wight County Zoning Ordinance. This section requires a minimum front yard setback of 60’ from the right of way in the RAC zone. The variance will allow an after the fact front porch addition to a single family residence located 34.7 feet from the right-of-way at 21227 Titus Creek Drive, Carrollton, in the Newport Election District.

Joint Public Hearing Notice

NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Council of Claremont, VA has scheduled a joint public hearing of the Planning Commission and the Town Council for Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 4115 Spring Grove Ave. Claremont, VA. The Planning Commission public hearing will begin at 6:30pm followed immediately by the Town Council Public Hearing at 7:00pm. The purpose of the joint Public Hearing is to hear public comments and consider the adoption of an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, adding Section 95-295, Communications Towers. This ordinance will establish regulations for the location and permitting process for all communications towers that may be erected within the Town. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF SMITHFIELD AMENDMENT TO PROFFERED CONDITIONS

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, (1950), as amended, that the Town Council of the Town of Smithfield, Virginia will hold a public hearing at the regular meeting of the Town Council in the council chambers in The Smithfield Center, 220 N. Church Street, meeting room A, Smithfield, Virginia, on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. to consider the application of Cypress Investment Holdings, LLC, owner, for an amendment to the current zoning ordinance to amend the proffered conditions attendant to the original approved change in zoning classification of certain property now zoned (S-R), Suburban Residential (Conditional).
The proposed changes in the proffered conditions will provide for: • Removal of 24 townhomes. • Increase of the maximum number of units from 450 to 518 (68 additional units). • Inclusion of 91 age-restricted units. • Replacement of references to ‘environmental’ with ‘architectural’ review board. • Removal of 40–50 boat slips. • Removal of the build-out timeframe. • Inclusion of the Design Guidelines for the proposed Phase VI. • Setback requirements in Phase VI that exceed the minimums in the town ordinance. • Assurances as to the timeframe of the provision of planned amenities in Phase VI.

The property which is the subject of this application is all of the Cypress Creek Subdivision within the Town of Smithfield, being that area bounded by the Route 10 Bypass, Fairway Drive, Great Springs Road, the Town of Smithfield Boundary and Cypress Creek. The parcels’ current zoning designations are (S-R), Suburban Residential (Conditional).
