CARROLLTON — Frank Delano Kiser, 82, passed away peacefully at home, Friday, Nov. 24, 2017.  Born in Dickerson County, Frank was the son of the late Mont B. and Lula Lee Kiser.  He worked in the coal mines of Virginia for 25 years before coming to Isle of Wight and completed 30 years as a crane operator with Newport News Shipbuilding.  

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 64 years, Norma Jean Kiser; four children, Drema Robinette, Frank D. “Frankie” Kiser, Patricia Vaughn and Sammy Kiser; his sister, Naomi Kiser; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Frank will be remembered for his love of family and quick wit and his kindness.  He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting.

A service celebrating Frank’s life will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, in Great Spring Church of the Nazarene, 13390 Great Spring Road, Smithfield. Burial will be private.
