Gloria Elaine Robinson Lentz, 95 of Smithfield, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018, just 22 days after her husband of 45 years, Robert Sydney Lentz.  A native of North Carolina, Elaine was the daughter of the late Floyd Wadsworth Robinson and Carrie Robinson Robinson.  She was proud of her home state of North Carolina, she enjoyed the beach, eating seafood and walking around barefoot. Elaine and Sid moved to Smithfield to be closer to family after spending many years of their retirement in Florida. She was a member of Benn’s United Methodist Church. Elaine is survived by her daughter, Gloria J. Smith (Loyd); grandchildren, Loyd Smith Jr. (Lynn) and Shara Mehailescu (Frank); and great grandchildren Amanda, Mathew, Sydney and Patrick.   

A service in celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 6, 6 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield.  The family will receive friends following the service.
