Beth “Marnie” Moon, 82, passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday, April 3, 2018, after a brief and courageous bout with cancer.  Born in Sampson County, N.C., Beth was the daughter of the late Fannie Jane Blackman and John Robert Warren Sr.

A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, most of the immediate family affectionately called her “Marnie” She was retired owner/operator of Moon Services Heating and Air, Newport News. Beth was a past-worthy matron of the Warwick Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Newport News.  In her pastime, Beth enjoyed the Golden Girls Exercise Club and was an avid Bingo player.

Beth had one request: that her health would allow her to go to Grand Central Station, New York City. It didn’t happen just like that. However, her family arranged for her to go proxy, visiting all the “sights of the city”, even to the top of the Empire State Building. It was video taped and gifted to Beth by Steve Moon.
