George J. Cofield Sr., 78, from Windsor, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018.  He was the son of the late Eric and Lydia Cofield, also of Windsor.  He was predeceased by his first wife, JoAnne K. Cofield, and his second wife, Audrey Cofield.

George is survived by his wife, Irma Mary Forbes Cofield of Hertford, N.C.; sister, Frances Abbot of Newport News; brothers, John(Margaret) Cofield of Windsor and Richard (Cathy) Cofield of Old Fields W.Va.; son and daughter, Jodie (Cynthia) Cofield and Christine(Greg) Willis; stepson and stepdaughter, Edward(Rosa) Forbes and Ann Elliott.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 28 at CrossPointe FWB Church, 2460 Pruden Blvd in Suffolk at 11 a.m.  Memorial donations can be made to CrossPointe FWB Church.
