Pastor Danny Edward Gray, 65, of Carrollton “graduated to Heaven” on Saturday, May 12, 2018.  He was a faithful husband to his wife of 47 years, Myra Dale Chapman Gray, who went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2018; a devoted father to son, Greg Gray (Jennifer); his daughters, Sharon Rosenbalm (Jeffery), Jennifer Geyer (Jeff); and a loving “Papaw,” to his seven grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua, Emma, Nathaniel, Carson, Jocelyn and Brooke. He is also survived by his sisters, Vickie Duncan (Robert), Nancy Morgan (Rick) and Robin Black.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Ervin Gray and Shirley Jean Turner Gray; and a brother, Bobby Gray.  

Pastor Gray faithfully served the Lord and God’s people for more than 50 years. In 1990, he founded Calvary Baptist Church in Smithfield, where he has served as Pastor for the past 28 years.   

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 17, 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Smithfield, with burial to follow in St. Luke’s Memorial Park.
