PORTSMOUTH – Linda Sue Parker “Susie” Mace, 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in her home. A native of Portsmouth, she was born on Dec. 22, 1942 to the late Bruce and Pauline Parker; and was a 1961 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. Susie retired as a procurement analyst with the procurement management review staff at the Norfolk Naval Base; and was a member of Benn’s United Methodist Church in Smithfield.

She is survived by her brother, Bruce W. Parker Jr.; and a host of church family and friends.

The family wishes to express their great appreciation to Dr. Thomas Harrington and staff and to Heartland hospice for their outstanding care.

Funeral service was held June 18, in Benn’s United Methodist Church and burial was private in Olive Branch Cemetery. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel handled these arrangements.
