The Summer Concert Series continues Friday at 8 p.m. with a performance by the York River Band.

The band has participated in the summer series more than a dozen times during the past three decades and always brings a high degree of enthusiasm to the gazebo. Patriotic music as well as some Broadway musical classics are the band’s forte.

On June 29, the Rhondels will return to Smithfield to open Olden Days. 

The Summer Concert Series is sponsored by The Smithfield Times and the Isle of Wight Arts League. The Friday night concerts are free to the public.
