Edna Faye Hunter Beckham

Edna Faye Hunter Beckham, 83, of Smithfield passed away on Dec. 26, 2018 at her residence with her family by her side.  She was the daughter of the late Alvin Hunter and Lela Mae Howze Hunter.  

Edna has been an Isle of Wight resident since 1982. She was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church.

Edna leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Robin Griffin and her husband, Hendricks; her son, Mark Beckham; grandchildren, Michael Ortiz, Amber Wilt, Joshua Griffin (Lindsey), Christina (Ryan), Max Beckham (Alyse) and Hunter Griffin, (Troy); great-grandchildren, Jovie, Abbigail, and Woodrow Bergeron, Isryl and Faye Griffin, Alexandria Ortiz and Gene Arthur, brothers, Larry Hunter, Gerald Hunter and David Hunter; and a host of friends and extended family.

Family and friends will gather Wednesday, Jan. 2, 6-7 p.m. for visitation in Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield. A service celebrating Edna’s life will be held, Thursday, Jan. 3, 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Lee Hess officiating. Burial will follow in Albert G. Horton Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Suffolk. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Hospice.
