RESCUE — Charlotte Edwards Scott, 91, of Rescue passed away on Feb. 11, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd Lafayette Edwards and Luberta Byrd Gwaltney Edwards.  Mrs. Scott was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Junious Parker Scott Sr. 

She was a member of Battery Park Baptist Church, where she was active in the choir and adult Sunday school class. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.  She retired from Gwaltney Packing as a secretary. Her happiest moments were spent with her family.” Mammaw,” as she was affectionately known, is survived by her sons; Junious Parker Scott Jr. (Debbie) and Lloyd Whittfield Scott (Debbie Jo); grandchildren, Jeffrey (Deana), Ryan (Lisa); great-grandchildren, Mia, Leah, Ashlyn and Mason; her sister, Evelyn E. Munford; two brothers-in-law, Peyton Barlow and Shirley Foster; and a host of numerous loving nieces and nephews.  

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16, 11 a.m., at Battery Park Baptist Church with burial to follow in St. Luke’s Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 15, 6-7 p.m. in the church.
