PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-906 and Isle of Wight County, Virginia Code Section 4-15, that the Isle of Wight County Department of Inspections has issued notice to the property owners of 15458 Cedar Grove Road, Carrollton, Virginia, namely Joseph Faltz and Anna Faltz to remove the dangerous structure on their property located at 15458 Cedar Grove Road, Carrollton, Virginia.

Said structure has been deemed unsafe by the Isle of Wight County Director of Inspections. You are hereby notified that you have thirty calendar days to remove the structure. The thirty calendar days shall be calculated from the latter of: (A) the date of this publication, and (B) the return receipt attached to the letter addressed to you from the County dated March 19, 2019. The failure to timely perform the removal of said dangerous structure by the property owners will result in the County through its agents and/or employees, taking such action to remove such structure with the cost and expense of removal charged to the property owners and such unpaid balance to be a lien against such real estate.

THE TOWN OF SMITHFIELD PLANNING COMMISSION
SPECIAL SIGN EXCEPTION

Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission of the Town of Smithfield, Virginia, will hold a public hearing at the regular meeting of the Planning Commission in the council chambers in The Smithfield Center, 220 N. Church Street, meeting room A, Smithfield, Virginia on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. to consider the application of the Trustees of Harvest Fellowship Baptist Mission, owner, for a special sign exception under the provisions of Article 10, Section L. of the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Smithfield, Virginia, adopted September 1, 1998, and as amended thereafter, in order to approve a special sign exception to allow for the installation of an additional, new, two-sided, thirty-two inch (32”) tall, six foot (6’) wide (sixteen (16) square foot) detached sign, elevated three feet (3’) above grade (5.667’ tall in total) by two (2), four inch (4”) square posts. This sign will be located in a median strip in the property’s westernmost Battery Park Rd entrance, approximately fifteen feet (15’) from the property’s northern boundary line, fronting on Battery Park Rd. It is intended to supplement an existing, detached sign, necessitating a Special Sign Exception in accordance with Smithfield Zoning Ordinance Section 10.E.2. The property upon which the sign is to be located is the church located at 19290 Battery Park Rd (Tax Map Parcel no. 22-01-022). The property in question is zoned Community Conservation (CC) & Entrance Corridor Overlay (ECO).
Any person affected by or interested in the aforesaid application may appear at the hearing and be heard. RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, VIRGINIA TO CHANGE ITS MEETING SCHEDULE ADOPTED BY THE BOARD AT
ITS ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING OF JANUARY 3, 2019

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Isle of Wight County, Virginia, held its organizational meeting on January 3, 2019 in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room located at 17090 Monument Circle, Isle of Wight, Virginia and adopted its 2019 meeting schedule; and,

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, at its regular meeting held on March 21, 2019 adopted a motion to change the meeting location of its regular meeting of Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. to the Windsor Town Center located at 23361 Courthouse Highway in Windsor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board’s By-laws and §15.2-1416 of the Code of Virginia stipulate that a resolution moving the meeting place be posted on the door of the initial public meeting place and inserted in a newspaper having general circulation in the County at least seven days prior to the first such meeting at such other day, place or time.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 15.2-1427(F) of the Code of Virginia (1950, as amended), that the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. to consider the enactment of an ordinance to amend and reenact Chapter 5, Elections, Article III, Section 5-11, Enumerated. The ordinance would change the location of the polling place for the Windsor Precinct of the Windsor Election District from the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department, located at 80 East Windsor Boulevard, Windsor, Virginia, to the Windsor Town Center, located at 23361 Courthouse Highway, Windsor, Virginia.

A copy of the proposed ordinance and maps of proposed polling place changes are on file in the Office of the County Administrator and County Attorney, Isle of Wight County Courthouse, Isle of Wight, Virginia 23397, and are available for public examination.
