PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, May 16, 2019, to consider abandoning any interest it may have in North Sycamore Drive and South Sycamore Drive. The purpose of this action is to ensure public records correctly reflect that ownership in North Sycamore Drive and South Sycamore Drive is vested in the adjoining land owner, Lawnes Point of the James Property Owner’s Association. A copy of the proposed ordinance is on file in the Office of the County Attorney, Isle of Wight County Courthouse, Isle of Wight, Virginia 23397, and is available for public examination.

Any person desiring to be heard in favor, in opposition to, or to express his/her views with respect to the Proposed Operating and Capital Budget, or the above referenced ordinances and resolutions, may appear before and be heard by said Board of Supervisors for the County of Isle of Wight on Thursday, May 16, 2019, in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room on the second floor of the Community Development Building, 17130 Monument Circle, Isle of Wight County, Virginia 23397.  The public meeting shall begin at 6:00 p.m.
 Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedure to participate in the public hearing should contact the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at (757) 365-6204.

A copy of the proposed plan is on file in the Office of the County Administrator, Isle of Wight County Courthouse, Isle of Wight, Virginia 23397, and is available for public examination. Any person desiring to be heard in favor, in opposition to, or to express his/her views with respect to the above referenced ordinance may appear before and be heard by said Board of Supervisors for the County of Isle of Wight on Thursday, May 16, 2019, in the Robert C. ORDER OF PUBLICATION

The Plaintiff filed this suit pursuant to Va. Code § 58.1-3965, et seq., to enforce its delinquent tax liens against the following real estate standing in the name of Josephine Doles:

Tax Map No.: 45A-01-127 Brief Description: At Zuni Lot

An affidavit having been filed that the Plaintiff used due diligence to locate the unknown heirs, devisees and successors in interest of Josephine Doles and Helen Stephenson, but without effect; that the post office addresses of unknown heirs, devisees and successors in interest of Josephine Doles and Helen Stephenson are unknown; and that there may be other persons having an interest in the property whose names and addresses are unknown, and those claiming through the aforementioned parties, all such persons made defendants as “Parties Unknown.”
It is ORDERED that this Order be published at least once a week for two successive weeks in the Smithfield Times, a newspaper of general circulation in Isle of Wight, Virginia, and that the parties named herein appear at 9 a.m. June 5 , 2019, in the Isle of Wight Circuit Court Clerk’s Office and do what may be necessary to protect their respective interests.
