Lewarren Burrell, known as “Batman or “Bat”” unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 12, 2019.  He was a resident of Smithfield, and was born Nov. 14, 1964 in Suffolk.

 Batman leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Burnette Ruspus, of Smithfield; four children, Arteaka Snellings-Bowden (Roderick) of Chesapeake; Brandon Burrell of Newport News; Lewarren “LJ” Burrell Jr., of Newport News; Jasmine Burrell of Newport News; seven siblings; four grandsons, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his special friend Maxine Duck.
