No free collection

I would like to remind Mayor Carter Williams and the entire Town Council that we DO NOT have “free” trash pick up in the town of Smithfield! Citizens of the town pay taxes above and beyond what county citizens pay, in part to pay for our “free” trash pick up. I understand that council has rejected this proposal, but I just wanted it to be clear that the Mayor and Town Council are not doing us any big favors! Fake News!
