Back-to-back free concerts will turn Friday into a night of music on Main Street.

Noteworthy, an eclectic group playing various genres, will peform in the 100 block in front of the Bank of Southside Virginia beginning at 6 p.m. The performance is being sponsored by Smithfield Music.

The Rhondels, who have traditionally opened the Olden Days weekend, will perform on the Times Gazebo Stage beginning at 8 p.m. The band plays a mix of oldies rock and roll and beach music.

Main Street’s 200 Block will be closed for the performance.

The Rhondels performance is being cosponsored by The Smithfield Times, Smithfield Ice Cream Parlor and the Isle of Wight Arts League.
