Notice is hereby given

pursuant to Section 15.2-2507 of the Code of Virginia and amendments thereto, that the Surry County Board of Supervisors intends to consider an amendment to increase the FY 2018-19 General Fund Budget by $560,000 and the Capital Improvement Fund by $560,000 (for a total amendment of $1,120,000), in order fund a portion of the School Roof Repair project in FY2018-19 instead of FY 2019-20. The FY2019-20 General Fund Budget and Capital Improvement Budget will both be reduced by $560,000 each. This amendment exceeds one percent of the total expenditures shown in the currently adopted budget. The County’s total budget for FY2018-19 after this amendment will be $57,079,222, and the total budget for FY 2019-20 will be reduced to $51,527,975.
