TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF SMITHFIELD AMENDMENT AND REVISION OF ZONING ORDINANCE Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 15.2-2204 and 15.2-2285 of the Code of Virginia, (1950), as amended, that the Town Council of the Town of Smithfield, Virginia will hold a public hearing at the regular meeting of the Town Council on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 6:30 o’clock P.M., in The Smithfield Center, 220 N. Church Street, meeting room A, Smithfield, Virginia, to consider the amendment and revision of Articles 2, 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D, 3E, 3G,3H, 3I, 3J, 3K, 8, 10, 11, and 13of the Town’s Zoning Ordinance to define “event facilities”, to provide for event facilities as a permitted or conditional use within certain zoning districts within the Town and to enact provisions establishing general standards and standards for parking, loading and signage for event facilities.
