PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, to consider for recommendation to the Board of Supervisors the following applications:
  The application of East West Partners of Virginia, Inc., applicant, and Eagle Harbor, LLC and EH2, LLC, owners, for a comprehensive plan amendment to change the future recommended land use of 80.29 acres of land with tax map numbers 34-01-003A1, 34-01-077, and 34-01-077D from Suburban Estate and Suburban Residential to Planned Development Mixed Use. The properties are located on Carrollton Boulevard (Rte. 17) and Channel Way (Rte. 662).

The application of East West Partners of Virginia, Inc., applicant, and Eagle Harbor, LLC and EH2, LLC, owners, for amendment to conditional zoning of 3.2 acres of land with tax map number 34-01-003A1 located on Carrollton Boulevard (Rte. 17) from General Commercial to Conditional Planned Development Mixed Use and for conditional rezoning of 111.39 acres of land with tax map numbers 34-01-077 and 34-01-077D located on Carrollton Boulevard (Rte. 17) and Channel Way (Rte. 662) from Rural Agricultural Conservation to Conditional Planned Development Mixed Use. The purpose of the application is to allow for up to 340 age-restricted residential units with 3.4 acres of remaining commercial use.

Copies of said applications are on file in the Department of Planning and Zoning at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex, Isle of Wight, Virginia, and are available for public examination.
Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his or her views with respect to said applications may appear before and be heard by said Planning Commission during the Public Hearing to be held in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex, Isle of Wight, Virginia, on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that Virginia Electric and Power Company requested authorization from the Virginia Marine Resources Commission to maintenance dredge up to 150,000 cubic yards of State-owned subaqueous land, on an as needed basis, adjacent to the intake channel for the Surry Nuclear Power Plant within the James River in Surry County and to temporarily install approximately four (4) miles of 22 to 30-inch diameter HDPE pipe secured to floats or secured to the bottom of Lawnes Creek, to transport dredge spoils from the power plant intake channel to a dredge material management upland area located along Lawnes Creek in Surry County.
