Have a wish list for Santa Claus? Send it to The Smithfield Times and not only will it be forwarded to the jolly old elf himself, but it will also be printed in the Dec. 25 issue of the newspaper. The Smithfield Times invites Isle of Wight and Surry county children to send in their letters to Santa, as well as original art, for publication in the paper. 

The deadline is Thursday, Dec. 19 at noon. 

Letters can be emailed to news@smithfieldtimes.com or mailed to “Santa,” c/o The Smithfield Times, PO Box 366, Smithfield Va., 23431 or can be delivered in person to the special Santa mailbox at the office at 228 Main St. in downtown Smithfield.
