Virginia Mae Parkison

Virginia Mae Parkison went to be with her Lord on July 10, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Nancy Hundley and George Hundley. She was predeceased by her brother, George Hundley.

She was a member of Bacon’s Castle Baptist Church in Surry. She loved playing the slots; was an avid photographer; and was an animal lover, especially her hummingbirds and her Koi fishpond.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Michael Parkison; two children, Michael Parkison Jr. and wife, Kassandra, and Stephanie Parker, and husband, Nicholas; siblings, Gloria Green (Ronny), Richard Hundley, John Hundley (Marie), Michael Hundley (Alice) Cindy Sequoyah (Olin); sister-in-law Peggy Moore (Jeff); grandchildren, Natalie Marple, Emily Parker, Christopher Parker, Kyleigh Parker, Ava Dukhie and Ivy Parkison.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020, at Bacon’s Castle Baptist Church, 86 Bacons Castle Trail, Surry, VA 23883 by Pastor Jimmy Acree. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2020, in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory.
