Officials with Bank of America’s location in Historic Smithfield does not yet know when it will reopen.

The bank branch, which is located at 303 Main St., “is currently closed to help protect our clients and employees during the health crisis,” spokesman Andy Aldrige said in an email. We are working to reopen it, but I don’t have a date for when that will happen.” An ATM at the Smithfield location is available to clients.

Aldrige said customers can manage their financial business through the bank’s ATM network, mobile app and online. Customers who need access to a safe deposit box can email SE-Safedeposit@bofa.com or safebox@bofa.com to set up an appointment where an employee will allow access to the building.

Customers who need to conduct their business in person should check the branch locator tool on the bank’s website. Bank of America has dozens of locations throughout Hampton Roads.
