I recently received a mailing from present Clerk of Court Kathy Torrence. On it was stated she had served 15 years on the staff of the clerk’s office, where she learned the skills and requirements of the services she and her staff are required to provide.

Also, it states she is endorsed by former Clerk of Court William E. Laine Jr. and Sharon Jones, who with their combined 47 years of service as clerk are the best people possible to make an evaluation of someone’s qualifications.

I too as a former county administrator who recognizes the importance of competence and professionalism in that office am pleased to endorse Kathy Torrence. I would think every citizen of our county who values competent and quality government service would want to have someone this qualified to manage the office. Your vote is the way you do that.
