Virginia Warren James Turner went to be with her Lord on Feb. 5, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Robert Warren James and Marjorie Savedge James and was predeceased by her husband James Frederick Turner.

Virginia was a graduate of Surry High School and the Pan American School. She was a former Sunday School teacher and a member of Smithfield Baptist Church and the New Beginnings Class. Virginia enjoyed playing the piano and participating with the WMU and the Ladies Bible Study.

She is survived by her sons, Steve (Gail) Turner and Gary (Donna) Turner; her grandchildren, Steven (Melissa) Turner, Dana (Dan) Moore, Kristin (Brad) Keppler and Laura (Evan) Carson; and great-grandchildren Chloe Moore, Emma Carson, Brooke Carson, James Keppler and Benjamin Keppler.
