The Route 677 (Wrenns Mill Road) bridge over the Wrenns Mill Spillway in Isle of Wight County will close on or about March 15 in both directions between Route 10 (Old Stage Highway) and Route 626 (Mill Swamp Road).

During the closure, the existing bridge on Wrenns Mill Road will be replaced with a fixed span structure and guardrail improvements will be made, the Virginia Department of Transportation said in an announcement. Signed detours will be in place. VDOT said the work is weather dependent and the project should be finished this spring.
