Brenda was a loving and nurturing influence on her entire family. Her kindness and warmth endeared to her son, daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren, who knew her as “mamaw.” She was happiest when in her kitchen cooking delicious Southern meals for her husband, family and anyone who sat at her table. She loved the holidays with her family that consisted of laughter and fellowship. After a bountiful harvest from her husband’s garden, she would can vegetables and fruits to share. She enjoyed communicating with her siblings and friends daily. She loved watching the birds feeding in her backyard, where she kept beautiful flowers and seasonal flags.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband, Ralph Edwin Suggs; her son, Bradford James Suggs; and her daughter, Megan Alyse Horne and husband, Scott Mason Horne. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Lahna Mae Horne and Shepard Page Horne, and her siblings, Linda Gail King, Joe Edwin Peed and Margaret Ann Stacey.

The family will not be receiving friends and family at their residence before or after the memorial service as they grieve and process this great loss.
