The Gamma Epsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, International, recently announced Austyn Barbara Haywood as the recipient of its Daphne Vaughan Dunn Memorial Scholarship.

Austyn, a Smithfield High School student, is the daughter of Jeff and Kelly Haywood, of Smithfield, and will be attending James Madison University next fall.

This scholarship is in memory of Daphne Dunn, a long-time educator in Isle of Wight County Schools, and goes to a senior who plans to pursue a career in education.

Delta Kappa Gamma, International is an international honor society of women who embody excellence in education.
