Smithfield Packers Youth Sports hosted the Hamtown Memorial Classic on May 23 at the Luter Sports Complex. The event (normally held in the fall as the Hamtown Veterans Classic) consisted of five games where the 8U Packers defeated the 8U Gloucester Outlaws 34-0, the 10U Running Rebels were victorious over the 10U Packers 12-6, an 8U Prime Pedigree squad defeated the 8U Gloucester Outlaws 20-0, the 10U Packers were victorious over the 10U Gloucester Outlaws 22-12, and the 12U Packers defeated the 12U Gloucester Outlaws 40-0.
