The Woman’s Club of Smithfield recently announced the recipients of its three scholarships.

Annika Lisbet Eng will attend Christopher Newport University and major in both political science and American studies. Austyn Barbara Haywood will attend James Madison University and major in elementary education with a focus in American Sign Language.

The CTE  (Career and Technical Education) Scholarship was awarded to Taylor Brooke Cornett, who will attend Longwood University and major in secondary education, with plans for a master’s degree in special education.

These scholarships are supported by the Woman’s Club’s flea market and sales of calendars and cookbooks.
