The annual Summer Concert Series returns this Friday, with the jazz sounds of Forte floating across the downtown area beginning at 7 p.m.
The show precedes the town’s fireworks display at 9:30 p.m., hence its earlier start time. All other concerts start at 8, with the exception of a children-centered performance from a puppeteer and singer on Aug. 27, which also starts at 7.

July 16 — Higher Ground, swing, Latin, jazz and modern big band sounds
July 23 — Wmsburg Swing Band, keeping the Big Band tradition alive
July 30 — Kim Persons and Lana Puckett, country songwriters and balladeers

Aug. — 13 Fleet Forces Band Combo, featuring performers from the Navy’s Fleet Forces Band
