Ricky Alvin Lowery Sr., 58, of Surry, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021, in VCU Medical Center.

He was the son of the late Alvin Franklin Lowery and Clara Pauline Plecker. Ricky is survived by his daughter, Erica Smith (William); son, Ricky A. Lowery Jr.; grandchildren, Jennie, William and Shelby; sisters, Nancy Wooten (Jamie) and Brenda Filippone (Chris); brothers, David Lowery and Warren “Herbie” Lowery; and his dog, “Lola.”

Ricky never knew a stranger, and was always willing to help others.
