Lots of HRT in CRT debate

I am writing in response to the concern expressed over CRT (Critical Race Theory).

First, let me admit that I am Marxist. I have always loved Groucho, Harpo and Chico. “You Bet Your Life” I did! I am a Lennonist too. However, I also thought that Paul, George and Ringo were just as smashing and brilliant as John.

Never mind that CRT isn’t taught in public school. It is taught in law school. Still, people are upset about how history is taught. Seeing as how it is some of the same people itching to complain now also complained about the removal of the Confederate monument from the courthouse; I guess they still want to honor that failed attempt to establish a slave republic.

It makes me wonder why they didn’t look to North Carolina for an example. North Carolina license plates state “First in Freedom.” Realizing that, they could promote Virginia license plates that state “First in Slavery.” Wouldn’t that honor 1619 in the way some want it to be honored?

CRT does have its opposite. It is HRT (Hypocritical Race Theory). Those who are upset probably don’t want to acknowledge that the nation itself is on Native American land. (Every treaty made has been broken.) Maybe they could just be happy with teaching what should be viewed as a contemporary event: neanderthalism.

There could be a simpler explanation. Could some really believe that after the 20th comes the 19th century? They are such rascals. “Can’t we all just get along?”
