James Douglas Saunders, 61, died Oct. 6, 2021. He was the son of the late Al and Georgia Saunders of Chuckatuck. A graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, Class of 1978, he was a retired mechanic. Survivors include a brother, Paul Saunders (Pam); sisters, Mary Williams (Jesse), Ann Marks Saunders, Kathy Whitten (Fred); and nieces and nephews. R.W.
