Surry County Public Schools announced on Facebook Sunday evening that it will be closed on Monday.

The closure for both students and staff is due to the “rapidly approaching snow and ice storm,” the statement read. “Maintenance staff and custodians will be contacted to report if needed.”

Additional information will be forthcoming regarding Tuesday.

“Spend this day enjoying the snow and please be safe,” the statement reads.
