Steven “Steve” W. Griffey, 59 of Suffolk, VA, joined his Heavenly Father on February 24, 2022. He is preceded in death by his mother, Faye E. Coates; father, Hasel M. Griffey; brother, Richard K. Griffey.

Steve is survived by his wife of 39 years, Tammy L. Griffey; brother, Michael T. Griffey; daughter, Jessica R. Griffey; son’s, Justin T. Griffey, Zachary D. Griffey and Nathaniel A. Griffey; four granddaughters, Kyleigh N. Miles, Scarlett R. Griffey, Elliott R. Griffey and Stevie R. Griffey.

Steve worked for 40 years at Newport News Shipyard. He had a love for God and helping others. He enjoyed going on adventures with his whole family. His granddaughters were the apple of his eye.
