Anne “Bunnie” Elizabeth Vellines Minga, 83, of Carrollton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.  She was the daughter of the late Robert Linwood Vellines and Rosa Mae Crocker Carr.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Samuel Peyton Minga, Sr.  She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Minga Muckelroy and Tammy Minga Spencer (Mike); and son, Samuel Peyton Minga, Jr.; grandchildren, Shelly, Bernard and Brittany; great grandchildren, Ashlynn and Jarren; a nephew and several nieces.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, William E. English.

She retired from Verizon after 28 years of service.  She had a passion for sewing, there was nothing she couldn’t knit or crochet.  She also enjoyed cooking and baking for friends and family.

She was a breast cancer survivor.  Later in life, the decline in her health limited her from doing many of the things she loved.  She did find enjoyment watching the hummingbirds each season, doing her word search puzzles, watching reruns of the “Golden Girls” and most of all enjoy her never ending supply of Dove chocolates.
