I haven’t had such a feeling of success and accomplishment in a really long time. A lot of letters and calls can pay off, and the Virginia Department of Health listened!

With the approval of the certificate of public need, Riverside can now start to move forward with plans for a new hospital here in Isle of Wight. This is the best thing to come along since the 911 system and 24-hour police coverage in the 1980s.

I can’t wait for the new hospital to begin construction and open to the community. Gone will be the days of full-hour ambulance rides, or 90-minute rides for those who live in Surry and beyond.

The county continues to excel and now our health care will as well.
