We would like to thank Steve Stewart, publisher of The Smithfield Times, and staff for updating us all on the proposed and now planned Riverside Hospital in Smithfield.

We believe with you keeping us informed with contact info for your readers to comment to the Virginia Department of Health and through letters to the editor was a great aid in us getting the Riverside Hospital.

We also thank Dr. Colin M. Greene, acting commissioner of Virginia Department of Health, for his approval of the certificate of need. We thank state Delegate Emily Brewer and other elected officials. We are in appreciation of all people who called, wrote letters and emails, and spoke at meetings.

Most importantly, we thank God and all those who prayed. He still answers prayers!
