Windsor High School Principal Laura Sullivan will move to Isle of Wight County Schools’ central office effective July 1 as the division’s new director of human resources.

The division’s current human resources director, Cheryl Elliott, will retire at the end of June.

Sullivan, herself a graduate of WHS, earned her bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in psychology from Christopher Newport University. She also holds a master’s of education in administration and supervision from Liberty University.

She began her career in education with Stafford County, where she taught English and coached softball and field hockey. In 2014, she was appointed assistant principal in Stafford before returning to Isle of Wight.

IWCS plans to advertise for a new WHS principal in the near future.
