James Grant Wilson Jr., 82, of Suffolk, VA passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Marjorie Wilson and stepson, Dwayne Murphy.

Mr. Wilson was a 1963 graduate of NC State University and was a loyal Wolf pack fan. He was a member of Pi-Kappa-Phi Fraternity. He was also a member of Ebenezer UMC, the Solid Rock Vocal Group and of the Peninsula Loge #278, A.F & A.M. He loved to play tennis, sing, and play the saxophone.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Angela Wilson; children, Kristi A. Wilson and James G. Wilson III and their mother, Judy Wilson; along with his grandson, Elliott L. Guthrie; stepson, Jody H. Murphy. Jim’s pet dog, Maggie.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 20, 2022 at 2 PM at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1589 Steeple Dr, Suffolk, VA 23433 with Pastor Won Lee officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ebenezer UMC. Condolences may be registered at RWBakerFH.com
