Rebecca “Becky” Sue Munford, 78, of Smithfield, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.  She was the daughter of the late William Andrew Munford, Sr and Martha Inez Holland Munford.  She is survived by her nieces, Shannon Munford Spain (Eric) and Sarah Canfield Lee (Greg); nephews, Brandon Munford (Jodi), Jeremy Canfield (Mollie), Mark Munford (Lisa), Paul Munford (Diana); sister-in-law, Anne Munford.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, William A. Munford, Jr and Joseph H. Munford. Becky was a member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church where she served as the church treasurer for many years.  She worked at Smithfield Packing from 1964 to 1985 and retired from M. K. Taylor Contracting as a book keeper.  She loved to read and do needle crafts.  She loved animals, especially her cats. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022, 11 a.m. in Mill Swamp Baptist Church with burial to follow.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Mill Swamp Baptist Church, 6329 Mill Swamp Rd, Ivor, VA 23866 or the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, PO Box 97, Smithfield, VA 23431.
