IW sheriff’s deputies seek robbery suspect

Isle of Wight sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help in locating an armed robbery suspect.
Deputies responded to the Rushmere Dollar General in the 4000 block of Old Stage Highway May 31 around 9:45 p.m. According to the Sheriff’s Office, a male suspect, possibly having long hair with braids, allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the store while displaying a firearm.
The suspect is further described as being approximately 6 feet in height, roughly 150 pounds, and having worn a distinctive pair of black leather “wingtip” or pointed dress shoes.
