SMS student wins Peninsula Holocaust art contest

Kima Anderson, a seventh grader at Smithfield Middle School, was awarded 1st place in the middle school category for the Annual Holocaust Visual Arts Contest sponsored by the United Jewish Community of the Virginia Peninsula. Anderson received $200 and was recognized during the Yom HaShoah Remembrance Ceremony held in Newport News in May.
